New Nokia N900 Software

Here is the Nokia N900 development tool PR 1.2 of Maemo  , this sems to be  big firmware update for Nokia N900. A new version of development tool for the Nokia N900 provides an insight into the many new features coming in the next major firmware update. With the emulator development tool you can get an insight into what changes in the new software and let it just be said right away – there has been a part!

The virtual screen keyboard has been updated tremendous, so we now have more room to see the text you enter. The main menu has also been updated so you can now move around on its programs and shortcuts. It has been missed by many N900 users.

Faster Browser
The Web browser is now even faster than it already was, and there has also been added a little functionality in the form of a dedicated back button, so you no longer need to view its history when you just want a step back. One can instead access the history view by dragging your finger from the right side of the screen to left.

In the file manager can now share all types of files via eg. Bluetooth. It is currently not possible on the N900. In addition, there was room for a number of other minor improvements.

It is not yet known when the PR 1.2-update comes out for the volumes, but it is likely soon.
