Because the popular Google’s Operating System is now coming in every version of smartphone built by every mobile company that you have heard of, it is becoming quite possible for people from all walks of life to own a smartphone which is running on Android Operating System.

The Android Software includes the Android Operating System and the Android apps. The new Android phones are gaining a lot of popularity because there are many smartphones that come in affordable prices.

If this is your first time owning an Android phone, then you need to know some things in order to set it up. What Can Be Expected From The Latest Iphone 5

Posted on by

All through 2011, we heard rumors about iPhone 5, but didn’t get to see any; infact what we did see was a modified version of iPhone 4 – iPhone 4S. Of course iPhone 4S was better in many ways than one than iPhone 4 but it still looked the same. Both the software and the hardware of iPhone 4 had under gone a modification to produce iPhone 4S but it was still not iPhone 5.

Towards the end of 2011, we found out that perhaps the former CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs was the one who stopped the production or sale of iPhone 5 and work was done on iPhone 4S. The exact iPhone 5 release date and iPhone 5 price is not confirmed as yet, but authenticated sources have confirmed that the release of new iPhone 5 is going to be around Fall 2012.

So we know that iPhone 5 is in the making for sure. A lot of news has come which is related to its body, though still much cannot be said about its operating system. Sources from Apple have given some information about the kind of body it is going to have. So far the information received suggests that this time Apple is going to use a different kind of material for the body of iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 rear casing is expected to be made of aluminum this time; perhaps the kind that is seen in iPad 2. It is also conveyed that there is going to be a bezel made out of rubber or plastic that will surround the iPhone 5 and will be placed in between the front and rear casing. The antenna is expected to be placed under the bezel. And because the placement of antenna is going to be different therefore Apple will have the freedom to play with its rear casing material. So a metal body, at least from the back, will mean a sturdier body.

Some of the other things that have been confirmed by iLounge is that new iPhone 5 is going to have a faster processor. So does that mean that the new iPhone 5 will have iOS 6. This is something that time is only going to tell and looks like we have to wait another year till fall of 2012 to find out what will be the features of iPhone 5 and iPhone 5 specs.

The iPhone 5 screen is also going to be slightly bigger than what we have seen in iPhone 4 and 4S. Faster graphics with potential NFC support and LTE support will also be seen in the new smartphone.

New Android Tablets Threat to Apple’s iPad 2?

Posted on by

The latest Android Tablets have created quite a buzz in the market; let’s find out why this is so? The Information Data Corporation (IDC) which specializes in research and analysis based on information technology has recently shared its suspicions in the Worldwide Quarterly Media Tablet and eReader Tracker that the new Android Tablets in town might just create a competition to the so far unrivaled iPad 2.

It is true that since the Apple’s iPad has hit the market, the general trend of the consumers was towards the touchscreen tablet created by Apple. But the latest operating systemAndroid, which has become available in a variety of mobiles and tablets has now given the keen surveyors of market a wide choice.

It is believed by the experts that the android tablets have started to establish their footing in the IT market, thus effecting the share of iPad 2. In the second quarter of 2011, the lion share of the IT market belonged to iPad 2 which was approximately 63.3% which dropped to 61.5% in the third quarter of 2011. IDC has established through its research that this fall of iPad 2’s demand is owing to the increasing Android Tablet Market Share.

IDC’s report further enhances that among the cheap android tablets around which have put a slight dent in the sale of iPad 2 are Amazon’s Kindle Fire and the Barnes & Noble’s Nook Tablet. Of course one cannot ignore the fact that with the release of several Chinese Android 7” Tablets, consumers have found a much cheaper option for themselves which can make them instant owners of a personal tablet.

Be it the Chinese android tablets or some worthy alternative from Kindle or Barnes & Noble, it is true that the new android tablets are taking up much of the market share. Thought the iPad 2 still holds more than 50% of the sales, it is still showing a steady decrease. It is also believed that by the end of the fourth quarter of 2011, iPad 2 will be left with 59% of the whole market.

So far the latest android tablets in town are showing an increase of sales since the time they have emerged, but everyone is still confident about the share that iPad 2 is going to hold.
